FixMyFPS for Windows.

FixMyFPS checks your Windows settings and helps you investigate stutter and low FPS with evidence from your own PC.

System requirements

• A Windows x64 PC running Windows 10 build 19041 or newer. Windows 11 is recommended.
• A running game for live frame measurements. Windows checks can run without a game.
• Administrator approval for setup. The installer includes PresentMon 2.4.1 for FPS capture, Microsoft Visual C++, and the app runtimes. It installs or repairs prerequisites when needed.

Install FixMyFPS

1. Close any open copy of FixMyFPS, then download FixMyFPS-0.1.6-Setup-x64.exe from your account.
2. Open the setup file and approve the Windows administrator prompt. Accept the license to begin installation. Setup extracts the app, installs its prerequisites, and creates desktop and Start menu shortcuts.
3. Restart Windows if setup requests it, then open FixMyFPS from your desktop. No separate extraction or PresentMon download is needed.

Already using the portable app? Close it and run setup to install this version. Your local settings and history stay on this PC. To remove the installed app later, use Windows Settings → Apps → FixMyFPS → Uninstall. Shared prerequisites and your local data are retained.

Your first scan

1. Connect your PC from Account with an active $5 USD monthly membership, then open your game and choose Optimize My FPS.
2. Play your game for 30 seconds to collect a baseline before boosting. Capture pauses when you switch away. Review detected issues and any unavailable measurements.
3. Review the proposed changes. In Prioritize your game, select apps to keep open with reduced CPU priority while your game has focus. Nothing is selected automatically. Background work may slow down; original settings return when you switch away, end the game, undo, or close FixMyFPS. You can choose to close apps instead after saving your work.
4. Open Free up space to scan a drive or folder, explore the largest items, and review their locations in File Explorer. Fast scan speeds up NTFS drive scans and asks for Windows administrator approval. Turn it off for a standard scan, or choose a specific folder. Nothing is deleted automatically.
5. Play the same scene with the same graphics settings for another 30 seconds after boosting. Compare average FPS, peak FPS over one second, and 1% low. Use Undo to restore supported setting changes.

Performance gains are not guaranteed. A clean scan is a useful result, and missing telemetry is never treated as a pass. Closing other apps cannot be undone.
